Department of Health Tourism Management


ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT

Purpose: To train qualified professionals with the knowledge of health and tourism needed.

Vision: To train Health Tourism Management Professionals who can apply their profession in the field of Health Tourism Management with the best theoretical and practical knowledge. The program aims to provide the healthcare sector with the most equipped professional staff.

Mission: During the two-year education, students will be given theoretical and practical lessons by experienced instructors in this field.

Students will acquire the knowledge and skills required to work in harmony and in harmony with physicians and managers of health institutions in health institutions, to fulfill duties requiring professional responsibility in accordance with laws and ethical rules.

Program Description: American University of Cyprus School of Health Vocational School of Health Tourism Management program tries to provide students with a level of education that will compete with other universities nationally and internationally by using the maximum opportunities of modern education. The technological infrastructure and education and training opportunities of the department are organized in a way that will give students the knowledge and experience they need in their professional lives. The program is carried out by the lecturers of American University of Cyprus Health Services Vocational School and with the contribution of lecturers from other units. The duration of the program is two years of education.

Admission and Registration Requirements: The Rector's Office announces the enrollment dates of the candidates who will register to the university each year, by determining the required documents and registration places according to the units. Registration procedures are carried out by the Registrar's Office. Final registration is not possible with missing documents or mail. If it is understood that it was registered by mistake, the records are deleted.

Graduation Requirements: In order to graduate from American University of Cyprus Health Vocational School Health Tourism Management Associate Degree Program, the student must have completed all the courses in the program, provided 120 ECTS credits and completed 30 working days internship.

Transition to the Upper Level: Graduate students can transfer to the undergraduate programs of Business, Business Management, Hospitality and Tourism Management, Tourism and Hotel Management with the Vertical Transfer Exam (DGS).

Employment Opportunities: Graduates from this program can work with the title of "Health Tourism Management Professional" in public and private health institutions and organizations. They can work in hot springs and spa centers, clinic hotels, holiday villages and nursing homes, institutions that provide health services. Medical secretary of Public Personnel Selection Examination for appointment to public institutions and organizations in Turkey (KPSS) according to, if the TRNC Public Service who are successful in the examination which the Commission opened appointed to public health institutions.
